CHILDREN’S PLAY AREAS: DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT ASSESSMENT
Under the Disability Discrimination Act, those children and adults less fortunate than others have the legal right to be given access to all facilities and use them as they would wish to.
Although there is a considerable debate underway relating to the appropriateness of the Act in relation to children’s play areas, there can be no doubt that play area providers will need to assess the suitability of sites for those less able-bodied people.
DIGLEY ASSOCIATES LTD will undertake assessments of your play areas and give recommendations to upgrade sites to meet requirements of the Disibility Discrimination Act.
